Saw your blog bookmarked on Digg.I love your site and marketing strategy. Check out my website if you get a chance, just click on name. (I don't want to leave a link, it looks too spammy)

Emit,
Thank you for your concerns and well wishings,
The consumer is the backbone of the 21st century economy,
May we take the time to remind you that since we began to seriously develop the consumer in the 1920's, we have manufactured billions of units. There are currently over 1 billion fully operational consumers—and that number is rapidly accelerating!

On a side note, unfortunately your limericks are lost on our corporate sensibilities.

Hi,
Cool idea! Not sure that these Consumers will sell. They seem to be self-serving. What's the underlying benefit? Do we really need more stuff.
But as the Onceler said, to the Lorax, "You poor stupid guy.
You never can tell what some people will buy."
Worth checking the seminal counter marketing manifesto from 1971 by Dr Seuss.
Good luck.

Thanks for you question Ell,
Non-western models of The Consumer™ are still in the research and development stage. Our current testing has come back with mixed results and varies greatly depending on region.
For the next version of the product guide we will try to incorporate some of our international research—perhaps overseas version will be depicted with different hats to indicate origin?

hi. I am wondering whether there is any product differentiation, or whether the Consumer is intended to be universally applicable. does the Consumer product in Europe differ from the Consumer product in America, or Australia, for example?
